The Tropical Agricultural Research and Higher Education Center (CATIE), with 15 member countries and located in Turrialba, Costa Rica, is partnering with New Mexico State University (NMSU) in Las Cruces on a unique endeavor to increase teaching, research, and training opportunities for faculty and students at both institutions. An Agreement of Cooperation was signed between the two schools in January 2012 that should potentially lead to a number of joint programs.
