Higher education professionals often share a strong commitment to social justice. One of the greatest opportunities to bridge the achievement gap may be in the developmental or remedial education classes where students often find themselves on the unfortunate side of the achievement gap. This presentation will discuss how two colleges in Colorado (one four-year Emerging HSI and a community college HSI) combined efforts to reshape developmental education from inside and outside the classroom.
